Brenda Gutierrez - Cybersecurity Analyst

Brenda  is an emerging cybersecurity professional with a strong foundation in threat detection, incident response, and ethical hacking. A recent graduate of the TDX Cybersecurity Bootcamp at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Brenda brings a sharp analytical mindset, hands-on technical skills, and a drive to continuously learn in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, Brenda excels at bridging communication gaps while working in fast-paced environments — skills she sharpened through diverse roles in healthcare, education, and safety coordination before pivoting to technology. She’s known for being dependable, detail-oriented, and quick to master new tools and concepts.

Her technical toolkit includes hands-on experience with malware analysis, vulnerability assessment, and forensic investigation. She has worked with tools like Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit, Hydra, and SQLmap, and understands how to harden systems using AD, Windows Firewall, and Linux IP Tables. Brenda has analyzed network traffic, executed XSS and SQL injection attacks in ethical environments, and developed familiarity with threat modeling through the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

As part of her cybersecurity training, Brenda has simulated real-world scenarios involving EDR tools, memory dumps, and post-incident reporting. Her training also emphasized risk management, threat intelligence, and SOC operations, laying a solid foundation for supporting enterprise security initiatives.

Currently pursuing CompTIA Security+ and AWS Cloud Practitioner certifications, Brenda is committed to deepening her expertise and contributing to secure, modern IT ecosystems. She’s especially passionate about continuous improvement — whether through analyzing suspicious PDFs, recovering compromised data, or educating users to strengthen organizational defenses.
