Arefin is an IT professional with over 11 years of hands-on, strategic, and real-world experience across system administration, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure. His journey began in the days of CentOS and legacy Windows servers, mastering networks, and troubleshooting systems for enterprise environments and global clients. By his mid-20s, he was already managing mission-critical infrastructure for large organizations — and he’s been keeping systems secure, users productive, and networks humming ever since.

He’s held roles ranging from broadcast systems engineer at a national TV network to Assistant Manager of MIS at one of Bangladesh’s largest pharmaceutical companies, and most recently, Remote Systems Administrator for a US-based print and fulfillment firm. Arefin has provided IT solutions for businesses spanning the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

Arefin has led end-to-end modernization of IT environments multiple times, implementing enterprise-grade firewalls, hybrid Exchange/O365 deployments, and multi-site VPN architectures. He deployed Oracle Linux KVM clusters for high availability, migrated legacy VMware and Hyper-V workloads to Proxmox VE, and built robust backup and disaster recovery systems integrating Azure Blob storage. He also designed and deployed multi-factor authentication (DUO MFA) and endpoint security platforms (CrowdStrike XDR, Trend Micro Apex One) to protect thousands of endpoints globally.

His cybersecurity expertise includes ethical hacking engagements, OSINT investigations, and deploying AI-driven threat detection systems like Darktrace. He’s conducted penetration testing for annual security audits using Kali Linux and Nessus, and implemented layered defenses against phishing, ransomware, and insider threats.
